About This Calculator

Our goal is to make a standard UAE end-of-service calculation understandable without pretending that an online tool can replace official records or professional advice.

Why this site exists

Employees often receive a final settlement containing a single gratuity number with little explanation. At the same time, many online pages still repeat provisions from the former labour law. This site provides a fast estimate and shows the arithmetic behind it.

What the calculator covers

The tool models the standard federal private-sector formula for a foreign worker using the last basic wage, employment dates, unpaid leave, a work-pattern ratio and a two-year wage cap.

What it does not cover

It does not calculate DIFC, ADGM, domestic-worker, UAE-national pension, piece-rate, court-order, or alternative end-of-service savings-scheme outcomes. It also cannot interpret a private contract, collective policy, court judgment or factual dispute.

Calculation method

  • Daily basic wage = monthly basic salary ÷ 30.
  • Adjusted service = calendar service minus entered unpaid days.
  • No standard gratuity below one year of adjusted service.
  • 21 gratuity days per year for the first five years.
  • 30 gratuity days per year for service after five years.
  • Partial years calculated proportionally.
  • Result limited to the entered two-year wage cap.

Source policy

Legal-rule pages prioritise official UAE legislation, MOHRE guidance, the UAE Government Portal and relevant authority material. We do not add a claim such as “MOHRE approved,” “official calculator” or “legally reviewed” unless that status is genuinely documented.

Privacy by design

The calculator performs its arithmetic in the visitor's browser. This version does not transmit calculator inputs to a server. The privacy policy explains how hosting, analytics or advertising services may process other technical data when they are added.

Corrections

Rules and authority guidance can change. Use the contact page to report a broken official source, calculation problem or wording that should be reviewed. Include the page address and the official source supporting the correction.
